MEK based inks are the standard, accounting for the majority of the installation base of CIJ printers. MEK inks provide excellent performance in the vast majority of applications and excellent adhesion to a wide range of plastics, glass, metal and porous substrates.

Acetone based inks are MEK free formulations that are Hazardous Air Pollutant (HAP) Free. Safer than MEK based inks, Acetone based inks achieve as good performance as MEK with faster dry time; near immediate.

Ethanol based inks are MEK free formulations that are Hazardous Air Pollutant (HAP) Free. Safer than MEK based inks, Ethanol based inks achieve good performance on semi-porous substrates. Dry times on non-porous glass and plastics are between 3-5 seconds. Ethanol ink provides excellent adhesion and scratch resistance to plastics, metal, semi-porous and porous substrates. Solvent consumption is reduced, as the ethanol based fluids evaporate more slowly.

Acetone/Ethanol blend inks are MEK free formulations that are Hazardous Air Pollutant (HAP) Free. Safer than MEK based inks, this ink is best of both Acetone and Ethanol. Achieve as good as MEK ink performance with less than 1 second dry time and excellent adhesion and scratch resistance to a wide range of plastics, glass, metal and porous substrates.
